My Little Starlink - 2026

The installation My Little Starlink hijacks a spotting-scope into an almost psychedelic object: a kaleidoscope. A constellation of organic, synthetic and mineral materials twinkles in its eyepiece. The kaleidoscope is an archaic medium that traps us in a wondrous reality : kaleidoscomania*1.

Just as we think we are satisfying our desire to watch birds—an activity that flourished during lockdown—we are plunged into a magical web of floating debris. They float in a small glass bubble where a reflection of polystyrene becomes the most beautiful treasure. The desire for birds gives way to wonder at a fragment of oyster shell. Lying almost as if they were hunters, the bathers become explorers of an infinite world where the hunt for rare chicks gives way to a quest for the most beautiful, colourful weirdness.

My Little Starlink is where entertainment and media meet a tool for hunting and observation. Contemplating gold becomes just as magical as looking at a humble aluminium lid. The elements mingle, rub shoulders, reflect and diffract in an astral dance, where the relaxed shouts of a summer pool replace the interstellar cold.
